Poking through blogs...
It's called Paint It Black. So why is it green then, if it's after St. Patty's?
Quite possibly the most genki blog I've seen. By the way your birthday's the day before mine.
awhell. While in chat with Alan-kun I find out I'm a hopeless blogger - I tried to put HTML tags instead of hard returns. I am so hosed.
Here's a dare for ya'll. Turn on the american dub of Dragon Ball Z. Yes, I know it hurts. Deal with it. Now, while it's on, turn around, and think of the first thing that comes in your mind when you listen to the words, not the (terrible) acting. It's quite amusing actually, the conversation between Piccolo and Kami, before they fight cell. "I've never thought of that before...but there's not enough room in me for the both of us!" "Try it, you'll feel like a different person afterwards." "YAAARGH!" You see my point.
Anime Music Video concept: Here I am/On the road again, the old rock ballad, done to Black Heaven.
Anime Crossover From Hell: Beld-Dandy? ^_^ 3.18.2K1 - 8.46
Okay, big China news today before the update. Interesting article in CNN talking about the summit starting shortly between Bush and Vice Premier Qian. Highlights: Possible sanctions against China for human-rights stuff, major increases in military spending, completion of a new missile base near Taiwan, and a very high missile production rate. Low end, 50 per year. High end, 300 per year. Any thoughts as to what rides on top of these missiles? Ain't gonna be doves in there, guarantee you that. Thank you, Bill Clinton, for letting the Chinese learn from us and build all those fine missiles. On the other hand, apparently the US is considering a major arms sale to Taiwan (GO FOR IT!!!) in April, the Taiwanese want 4 Aegis-equipped destroyers (Most likely Arleigh-Burke class), 4 Kidd-class destroyers, P-3 Orion ASW planes, for starters. Hell, give 'em USS Salem as a f*ck-you present for the Russians selling the Chinese 4 Sovremenny destroyers, a hundred and twenty top-end SU-37 fighters, and several hundred T-80 Main Battle Tanks. Plus, they're on-record as preferring not to live in a world dominated by the west, and in mid-late 1999 signed an NATO-like agreement with Russia that stated a desire not to live in a western dominated world, and the creation of a new power axis in the east. They added India into this, and sold them some serious hardware as well (namely a combination battleship/carrier). I'll have hard info on that later, I just need time to find it. Look for new articles after the archive.
Stinging article about Japanese Prime Minister Yoshiro Mori, and a bit of a glimpse at the problems going on in Japan. Wonder who's next in the political electric chair over there? 8 Prime Ministers in 10 years, apparently most if not all quite unpopular. I feel sorry for them, but hey - the yen is down, so now's not a bad time to buy stuff. Anime fans of the world, unite to save Japan! Take advantage of the weak yen and dump all your savings into the Japanese economy! You'll get neat stuff while you're at it too.
I'm popular in Australia now. This is amusing. Well, at least, I've gotten 4 hits from different Oz servers since midnight, so...for me it's popular. :p
I think I will get my Beretta this next weekend. I want one, dammit. 3.18.2K1 - 1.56
I will never sleep. Ever again. Sigh. And Alan, send me the link to that cruel & unusual. I wanna see how bad I am on it. 3.18.2K1 - 1.52
SUCCESS! woohoo. Okay, back to the news.
Dora, salt is okay as long as it doesn't get into anything electrical, salt does conduct IIRC. At least you don't feed your computer rice for good luck, and put it on the big tongue that comes out when you press the button. We've had that call. That was amusing.
Meg, I wore brown & black today! :p \"Leper\"chauns. That just...awgawdmakeitstop that's a twisted mental image.
Sakura, I salute any (real) artist in any medium. And that's pretty nice.
Do the cello thing with the murder-mystery, Katherine! If you're nice I'll tell you how to KEEP the murder a mystery, hee hee.
Umm, Ruby, hope you're okay. Heard about the riots in Naples this afternoon, and no word from you...^^;;;;
Carolyn: The Kid, followed by X/1999. And I thought our idea for Emotional Whiplash Day was rough. No more teapotmon, that's just scary. Or else I will pull out ganja-mon. :p
That's enough for tonight, loyal fans and readers *bursts out laughing*. Seeya on the flip side. P.S. this is to be archived tomorrow, so I won't put up anything major till after I do it. Waah, I gotta be at work in 5 hours. *stungun* 3.18.2K1 - 1.36
*GRRR* it's still doing it. This will be aggravating, having to edit each post to remove crap that ISN'T there in the first place.
Okay, it appears to be fixed. It started sometime after 9.37 on the 16th, and before the 22.49 post. Hen na yo. Fixed the links, just. WAH. Wonder if I can work around it...
Test link to...Dora-san cause she said something to me first. :p
1.36. I am going to be SO dead at work tomorrow. Thank God I won't take more than 4-5 calls. 3.18.2K1 - 1.26
Wow, 75 hits today, that's my biggest ever. Must have amused SOMEbody. A lot of new visitors too, and a couple of them came back later. Curse my 30-limit server log. Grr.
Oh well, fun's over, back to normal. Until I get really bored again. The embroidery work is done and Brian just absconded with it all, and I _STILL_ haven't gotten my webcam installed again. When he comes back I'll make him bring it over or something.
Monopoly is fun. I got to play it all day, hee hee. Work was slow as hell.
Alan it is then. You and Dora both?! Dairyland?! *clickety click click* That's really bizarre, it is doing it. HUH. Chotto. WHAT THE HELL?! all my links are screwed. WHINE. It didn't do this yesterday. And it works fine in my out-of-blog links. What the...
Ragabash, nice layout. Nifty snow effect on the pic ^_^ And NO that was not me. Just the snape one and the space ghost one.
WTFO?! Why the hell are there backslashes next to all my quotes?! That'd be why ya'll're getting Dairyland....*whiiiiiiine* PITAAA!!! WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY PAAAAAGE!
Just because I'm a (straight) guy doesn't mean I can't whine. Ask Ragabash, he knows. A moment please, more when I'm finished. *BLAM* *BLAM* St. Patrick's Day - 16.55
In case you've wondered, here is a summary of the Church of Sciencefictiontology. Ragabash, you'd really like this, it's a tear-it-apart article. Or, to coin a new phrase, a real Spainking. St. Patrick's Day - 15.14
From the trenches: We have found a technician with a body count. One of our techs here knows this wonderful fellow personally. The story: The CEO of Company X called in irate, supposedly because one of "his employees" (we're not too sure about that) screwed up and crashed Windows, when he was running his accounting software. He calls the MS Help Desk to find out how to restore unsaved information lost in a crash. *snicker* The CEO kept screaming and yelling, getting worse and worse as he went on. Didn't give the poor tech any chance to tell him anything. All of a sudden, there is a grunt, and a loud clatter on the line. Several minutes and hellos later, the technician hung up. About two to three weeks later, cards start coming in. A total of 52 cards. THANK YOU CARDS. Along with 3 boxes of candy. For killing their stressed-out, high-blood-pressure, stroke-risk from hell boss. The CEO's entire staff hated him, and found the technician's name and extension written down next to the body.
Sir, whoever you are, we your fellow soldiers in the Tech Support Army...SALUTE YOU. St. Patrick's Day - 14:31
And you thought that their simulators were just games...German armed forces ban MS software due to security risks and the infamous NSAKEY incident.
Someone's pissed off at the Chinese government. Boys & girls, killing innocent civvies does NOTHING for your side. It never has, it never will(why do you think today's background is a giant "backwards peace sign" to the IRA? Don't worry, the PLO is next). Terrorists annoy me greatly.
Damn, a call. More later. St. Patrick's Day - 10.26
Good lord! There's someone else who reads this crap! Whoever you are, a) yes you may call me Frank, b) who are you, and c) I guess that would work but I know no Java, and Dora was wanting to avoid it too. So I used the tag there because it was the first one I saw in an HTML search, ^^;;;... Someday I'll put up Javascript. HAH.
Whee, I'm having too much fun reading these neat Japanese airsoft mags Brian lent me. Too much niftiness.
Black Beret Controversy continues as it's determined that hundreds of thousands of the new berets were to be made in China. Damn, man. They build EVERYTHING now.
This is bad writing. I'm picking up habits from Ragabash, I guess. A neat article about hydrogen-powered cars that had the following comment: Safety issues are a major concern for a fuel that's often perceived as more dangerous than others. While hydrogen itself played no part in either catastrophe, it was the fuel in both the Hindenburg and the Challenger. So? That's like saying that the nuclear reactors frighten people, and that even though the Kursk blew up from a torpedo malfunction, it had a nuclear reactor. Don't pad your articles to get a higher word-count. Argh. Otherwise, good article, and I'm impressed that it's already made it to the small-scale testing phase.
Final Fantasy movie due out in July! Woohoo! This is an interesting review of it. Plotwise, well, ALIENS did it first and best IMNERHO. And it can't be all bad, either, with the scriptwriter for Apollo 13 on it. BUT, this movie shines in its effects and photography. The article also makes a good point for more all-CG movies - because integration, even from Lucas, never looks QUITE right. And with even minimal CG, you can do some REALLY neat effects, go check out Escaflowne (mostly morphs and ripple-effects) and Blue Submarine 6. Babylon 5 came the closest for American TV to looking real, with some really well-done stuff, but you COULD still tell. And I will say that JMS did some GREAT things with it, like pullbacks from a closeup of a suited astronaut to a two-mile-distant beauty shot of the station. And on the line of Babylon 5, there's word of a Rendezvous with Rama movie, with the same technology! Now if only someone will do an all-CG Smoke Ring or Integral Trees!!
News on the California Power Crisis: Official estimates are in, they're going to be 5,000 megawatts short. That's FIVE MILLION HOMES. Your evironment-nazi legislation at work.
And from The Register, OOPS. SOMEONE in Corporate just got the hot seat.
That's all for this morning, folks, back to the daily grind. I guess I should ramble more later. Heh, it looks like the poll is popular. St. Patrick's Day - 9.19
Ne, Sakura-san, who are all those characters? You draw them yourself? St. Patrick's Day - 9.12
Hmm, music video concept. That old 80s song, Be Good Johnny to Golden Boy(hell the song says right in the beginning "I'll be your golden boy")...it would work. St. Patrick's Day - 12.33
Happy St Patrick's Day. Assuming I live through it after this. St. Patrick's Day - 0.02
Ragabash, yeah that was me saying hi. Sorry if the second search got you suddenly inspired. *heehee* 3.16.2K1 - 22.49
Whee, this sucks. Lack of updates due to stupid me leaving my disk full of stuff at work. I'll throw it up tomorrow, I guess. Yay we actually get a break at work on the weekends, only handling certain calls now. ^___^
Ragabash, see you tomorrow nite at the Gold Coast, same time & place. May see Loni the FY Freak and Serena over there too, unless they a) go directly to Jim's or b) blow off (again).
Oh.
My.
God.
These three things frighten me deeply, they really do.
And just notes to my loyal fans to show I still care:
Goodnight, Meg. Catch you catch me falling asleep.
Katherine, I'm reminded of the Smothers Brothers tune, "This song is over." *twang*
Neat layout, Dora! I was wondering where you got the pic of Utena, never saw her in all-white. (tho it fits, in some odd way. Hella better than speedos.) You have my sympathies in trying to make a layout work, tho at least all the hard work was done by Ragabash too. We must all thank him for her contributions. *hee hee!*
Sakura - re: your 10:59 post. Yes, I think that was Doogie. And I personally would have done the same thing you did to the flower child, except leaving off the \"a look\" part. And naps are good.
And last only because your page won't load in nutscrape and I gotta kick open IE *shudder*, Ruby, who's got the shortstory thing in the back of X16?
Dammit I write too much for short notes. TAKE THE POLL PEOPLE!!!! *points to Selective Fire link at top right* 3.16.2K1 - 9.37
Annoyance. I sat here downloading updates to the embroidery software so that I can get these designs finished in time for Brian's trip. Two and a half hours later, it's just not working. Absolutely refuses to update. Very weird. Anyways, it's off getting fixed today, so I have a few minutes to post this. Maybe I'll open this up to requests, and negotiated fees. Or something. Anyone want anything embroidered? E-mail me.
Work is nice. Work is good. Work will blow chunks when I have to go back on the phones. I'm enjoying e-mail duty way too much - I can't be screamed at except by people writing in all caps, I don't have to answer the why-does-your-product-suck questions *yay!*, and I have time to answer the really friggin weird ones. You know, things like "I installed your software and now there's a flaming pentagram on my screen, what happened?" kinds of calls.
Poor Ragabash meanwhile has been seriously buried in calls today, hence the rather artful picture on VH. And for fun, a Ragabash Gender Game poll. It's right below the Reloads section, titled Selective Fire. I won't vote till much later, no free hints. 3.15.2K1 - 11.20
Katherine, who is Faure? I'm a sucker for cello too, tell me where you can get that disc. 3.15.2K1 - 11.18
Umm, Ragabash, what happened to your pages? Malakim.net gives me a DNS lookup failed.... 3.14.2K1 - 23.57
okay, real quick.
Ruby, you're from Spam Diego? Same here (born & raised in Hell Cajon) ^_^ It sucks now, trust me.
Ragabash, read the article. Interesting. I am looking for a map of wind patterns in the area(IIRC primarily eastward)...that, and the fact that Israel will set the entire middle east on fire if anyone DOES try it, are probably the only things keeping a waqi iraqi from pulling some stunt. Begin did say "Never again"...I think he meant it big time. 3.14.2K1 - 22.41
Lack of commentary tonight. Working on embroidery for a friend going to a game convention in Japan, so will be busy. Maybe very very late tonite. Apologies to Dora, Ragabash, and whoever else stumbles across this by accident. Ragabash, is it just me, or do you see Atilla the Cheerleader over there *points to the corner* in the big red plugsuit out of Magma Diver? She had a total Asuka hairstyle today, and it just messed with my head. So I thought I'd pass along the madness.
I am the paisley-eyed deathwalker! I walk on air! All who see me bow down in wonder. 3.14.2K1 - 9.07
From the radio news, students who make threats against schools get to go spend a day at the coroner's office. THAT is not a bad idea at all. Show the little morons what death REALLY means, and what it looks like. I'm shocked that something this sane, reasonable, and effective would come from California. Two points to the Left Coast.
Wrong turn! Wonder what the cops said at the end of this chase... 3.13.2K1 - 23.24
Sakura, I'm not going to ask, but just write it up to ecchi fangirlism. Now stop leering, you're scaring the rest of us.
THIS IS PRICELESS! The map county-by-county, and some interesting statistics! For starters, 100% of counties in Utah, Colorado, Nebraska (hard to see on this map), all voted Bush. A few other scattered Gore counties across the midwest, although there was one big surprise. San Diego County (yes, CA) voted for Bush, even though they reelected Dianne Feinsten. Something up with that. Anyways, the funny part: THE TABLES.
Bush: 2,434 counties w/ a total population of 143 million, 2,427,000 square miles, 29 states, and an average murder rate of 2.1 per 100,000 residents.
Gore: 677 counties w/ a total population of 127 million, 580,000 square miles, 21 states, and an average murder rate of 13.2 per 100,000 residents.
So does this mean you're 628.57% more likely to be murdered in a place that voted for Gore rather than Bush. How fun!
More later tonight, maybe. Have much embroidery work to do for friends. Yes, I do embroidery. Not by hand, on a machine. And I do it good, dammit. 3.13.2K1 - 22.55
Yawnstretchwakeup.
...
yuck. No it didn't have to happen. Provided in new window link to keep it off this browser window.
Ragabash, I personally wouldn't mind, for all the reasons you cite, if Texas seceded. I would enjoy it very much. Especially because I'd be there already. BTW there is a constitutional amendment for secession going county-by-county in TX...one never knows. And, yes, for this insane nation, *suddenly gets nerves fried by heavy metal CD following a Russian Choir CD* damn that'll wake you up. Umm, oh yeah. Objectionable aspects of southern culture...this would be such things like Sir and Ma'am I assume? Respect for other folks, now that's a BAD THING(TM). Can't have that, no sir. Er, did I say sir?
Looking at that article..."Most people dismiss League members as either harmless eccentrics or closet white supremacists (they're probably a little of both)..." Now as I recall, from the very little I know about journalism, is that one does not make personal digs against a subject you claim to be objective on. I see no sign saying this is an editorial page. Another quote: "You hear echoes of Southern nationalism...when John Ashcroft praises Southern Partisan magazine for helping "set the record straight" on the War Between the States." How about this: The North and South can no longer claim to be one nation. If you want proof, just look at the electoral map from the last presidential election." Now this is utter BULLSHIT boys & girls. Go look at a map of the US election results, county by county. The only democractic areas are the dense-packed cities. I would point out that GWB carried EVERY SINGLE COUNTY in Utah, and two other states, IIRC. The few democratic areas resemble a population map, there's a couple scattered through the US, and then the big cities like NY, LA, SF, etc. I'll post one up as soon as I find it. More later.
P.S.: If you're going to bring up the Bush Lost The Popular Vote then why don't you COUNT the entire f*cking vote to begin with? Say, start with the million-plus absentee ballots in California alone THAT NEVER GOT COUNTED because the state turned in its results ahead of time? The military votes republican, primarily. And as I recall, Gore only won CA by 300K votes...wonder if there were enough absies to tip the whole state to Bush? Sadly, we'll never know, because the Democrats don't want to find THAT out. 3.13.2K1 - 19.46
I hate windows. I hate illegal operations. I really hate trying to blog and getting them halfway though. I have gotten tired of the squishy sound and stopped beating my head against the wall. Notepad is your friend.
Okay, bad news first. Part 1, more about the arms sales to Iran from the Russians. President Vladimir Putin said Russia would proceed with sales of conventional arms to Iran, and fulfill an $800 million contract to complete the Bushehr nuclear plant. Putin said arms supplied would be strictly defensive. So what exactly do the Iranians need with a nuclear powerplant? And just how enriched is the supply of fuel for it? If they can bring it above 90% then it's bomb-grade material. Wonder if the Israelis are going to pull an Osirak on this one too. Go for it guys ^_^ We need to sell more F-16s anyways.
Umm, No more Euro meats & animal products for a while. Seems the Hoof & Mouth disease is getting worse over there. Wonder what this'll do to the price of beef here, and how the ranchers over there are going to survive? First the gas situation, now this...
Yippy Skippy, the Gundam! They're releasing Gundam model kits and toys here in America! ^____^v No more massive markups, we get real prices now. *evil grin* Ooh, the GP-01Fb and GP-02 toys will be out around my birthday. Hee hee! *happy UC Purist dance*
Hey Ragabash, this might be why the orders from DVD "Express" were so slow.
And last, but not least, Hobbylink Japan has finally sent my model kits! Woohoo! Now I will have something to do other than buy guns and scream at this insane planet. Thank you, HLJ, for your contribution to world peace. Then again, there's only 5 people (and I'm 2 of them) reading this page, so I guess a lack of posts doesn't matter much.
P.S.: On the topic of guns, a neat interview with Keanu Reeves about Matrix 2. SPOILERS ARE IN THIS! I warn you now. But...I'm excited. Teehee! okay, more later after my blog hunt. :p
And Dora, the popup links is just a wee HTML tag. No Java required. Just add a target=new after the href, i.e. < a href="http://malakim.net/vh" target=new >. Keeping your blog decaf I see? P.S. Call me Frank if you like. ^_^ Or Ein, either way. 3.12.2K1 - 1.04
GAAWWWWD I love "The Planets" by Holst. *worships NPR*
On the topic of music, hey, Napster users! Time to spell creatively. The RIAA gave Napster a list of 135,000 songs to block, with more to follow soon. Now, this is all well and good, except for one WEE thing. Computers aren't as subjectively intelligent as people would like them to be (trust me, I KNOW how smart people want their computers to be...just so that the comp can fill in for the hyu-mahn) and it's only going to block whatever's on the list. People are pig-latining the filenames, putting #s in to change it, all kinds of things. Computers are too exact, it's like trying to sift sand 1 grain at a time(Ragabash, thinking of Preacher?). The end of the article has a quote which sums it up REAL well. "This injunction only feels like a victory to the recording industry. They can hand in lists as long as they want, but what we've seen is that if fans want to share something they figure out ways to do it." I do so love Americans. We'll bust ass to be lazy. 3.13.2K1 - 0.39
Hey! If anyone likes model kits from Japan as much as I do then go to HLJ! The yen's hit the 120-1 mark so these will be cheaper than normal! 3.12.2K1 - 22.39
Okay, enough with the heavy depressing articles. Anime Commercial Idea:
The Fanel brothers advertising energy drinks: "Red Bull...gives you wings!"
Any other suggestions?
Ragabash, umm...it occurs to me that the entire opening title mentions a boomstick. Well...after I got bored and looked at the gun Rally has again...umm, it's a .22 survival rifle. Some boomstick. ^_^ Ah well, my bad. 3.12.2K1 - 22.06
Hey, Register guys, that article about Sema's name change and the happy frilly words? Sema is a frog company. Whaddya expect from your southern neighbors? Shame God didn't make the channel wider... 3.12.2K1 - 21.04
Long rant tonight. Something I've been meaning to do for a while...picking apart the Putin interview transcript that Ragabash posted. Italics are RasPutin's own words, bold emphasis provided by me.
Do "...you believe that the Chechen people, against whom Russia has been using such cruel methods of suppression, will be able to regard Russia as its friend in the future.
The Russian army and the Russian nation as a whole have never waged any kind of campaign against the Chechen nation. The Russian army, and this applies in particular to recent events, was forced to react to the gauntlet that the extremists and international terrorists threw down when they attacked Dagestan."
Interesting. If that's true and it's just a couple of terrs, then why are the Russians occupying the entire area and turning it into another Vietnam? It's much more than just a little terrorist response. Here's a whole boatload of stories from CNN documenting what's going on over there. Very interesting read, and very different from what RasPutin says.
Hmm. In part 2 there's this.
Moldova has just held parliamentary elections, which were won by the communists. This was immediately followed by a declaration that Moldova's rulers, or at least some of them, are able to and want to join the union between Russia and Belarus. How do you view that?
"Moldova is a friendly state, a member of the CIS, and of course we are bound to take an interest in what goes on there. But above all else, this is Moldova's own internal affair. We are carefully following events there and we shall respect the will of the Moldovan people, whatever they may decide.
If the communists win, then they win. If they express friendly feelings towards Russia, then we can only be pleased."
Sounds pretty pleasing to him if they would. I wonder just how much "interest" they took in that democratic election of communist leaders. (there's a phrase that just sounds cute.)
An amusing comment, next, when read in light of the Russian mafia: Of course, we need to strengthen our legal system, especially when dealing with economic matters. So there are more problems than solutions. No argument.
On Nuclear Defense: So, this is how Russia understands it, lets say. Russia ratified START-2, cuts in the numbers of our strategic missiles, but in the law on the ratification it states that it, this ratification, is only in force, if the ABM treaty of 1972 is observed. [if the Americans do not build something to stop incoming nuclear weapons - F] ...In other words, we are not automatically, by law, obliged to observe the numerical restrictions in the sphere of missile defence. So if we take steps to protect ourselves from something, you'll build more of it. Or, if we leave ourself open to attack, you PROMISE you won't shoot at us with any of your 4,000 warheads? What about the other countries that are in the nuclear club? Pakistan, India, Egypt, France, Israel, Libya maybe (they invested heavily in the pakistani program)...all kinds of places. Some friendly, many not.
And here is a PERFECT quote. After being asked if "Very many positive and destructive processes have taken place in our country during the last decade. The subjugation - and not always lawfully - of entire economic sectors and political structures to a small group of people, who wish to safeguard their economic interests, was one of these destructive processes. To a certain extent this can be described as privatization of state structures and the mass media."
OKAY. So let's turn the structure around. The privatisation of the mass media and many other previously state-run services is a destructive process. So does this mean that the state running everything, even the news, is a good thing? Ragabash, you were right, this IS a good read. Apologies for not hitting it before. 3.12.2K1 - 19.51
Russia selling arms to Iran again. I wonder if the rest of the arab states are going to start getting supplied by the Russians, and we're back to the old happy days of the 1970s again. I might add that the Israelis did repeatedly kick their @$$es with American equipment. Still, this bodes badly for the future of Russia with Putin. 3.12.2K1 - 19.34
Just for laughs.Corporate "logic"behind choice of logos. What you say? 3.12.2K1 - 18.55
Followup to flash: (never trust local TV news)
Not a buyout, but a serious alliance between MS & Ebay, which will score major points for ebay (putting links to the site all over MSN.com and all its subsidiaries). It looks like ebay will use MS's new .NET webprogramming such, and MS will push forward ebay's API for programming in the future. Major integration going on...could be interesting.
And in more MS news...Someone leaked WinXP code on a major cable server. Doesn't matter if it'll work or not without the licenses, you can still see how the architecture is forming, and write all kinds of neat virus programs for it.
On the flip side, Chuckie "What Second Amendment?" Schumer wants to have an online list of organ donors. Not a bad thing, actually. Kinda odd though, knowing that there's a list of people who will benefit you if they die. Not so big on that.
And in the entertainment news, woohoo! Playstation to get 0.13 micron chips in the next gen system. They talk about using this to make the ram block smaller for the system, why not keep it the same size and make the PS2 even MORE powerful?
More later, I guess. Off to go shooting. I got my Para-Ord back, hee hee. ^_^ Must find out if she still loves me. Toodles! 3.12.2K1 - 18.39
Microsoft buys E*Bay?! 3.12.2K1 - 16.59
US considers raising the Ehime Maru from the bottom. Still not sure if they can do it or not, can't get inside the wreck. Ragabash & I have talked this over before, and I have friends that were bubbleheads. What was Ehime Maru DOING chasing after the american sub? Why was she in the middle of a US Navy practice area? Probably never find out. Ah well.As an aside, Robert Ludlum has passed on today. 3.12.2K1 - 16.02
Ouch. Hmm, not looking good on the market end of things. Not a good way to start the week.Ragabash, got it, working on getting it set up now. Maybe Tripod won't be an @$$hole about file sharing. And now for a big site update, courtesy of Ragabash itself! 3.12.2K1 - 11.05
Why the hell did I have to say that.
Okay, here goes. Hermione, Harry, and Ron are exploring yet more stairways in Hogwarts, and Hermione drops that little hourglass gizmo from Book 3. It goes spinning and tumbling down the stairs, and the Trio vanishes, to reappear 600 years in the past. Well, they run into Nicolas Flamel when he was "young". He has the Sorcerer's Stoen, but needs the Necronomicon to send them home. I get this mental image of the three in the middle of the courtyard, with Harry REALLY pissed off (it's happened before) and shouting the broomstick line at the bucketheads & peasants. Meg, re: your 9:50 AM post, not quite. Go watch Evil Dead: Army Of Darkness. Quite silly, hell it's a Bruce Campbell flick. (and I mean FLICK) But yeah, I misread it at 3am too, and in the interests of sanity didn't post what came to mind. Might as well now.
Harry Potter and the Necronomicon In a word: GROOVY. hehehhehe 3.12.2K1 - 2.56
Damn, I'm up late. Just thought I'd tell you all, Geocities sucks. Display my pics properly dammit! 3.12.2K1 - 0-dark-30

VERY cool, Ragabash. My deepest thanks. I think I can HTML it up myself, so no need to worry about scripting. Or any rush, was mostly curious to see if you had a chance, since you been busy this weekend. Then again, I guess it's better than trying to find the right color hair dye to match Yuuto. You cannot look like your manga avatar, I'm sorry. Not gonna happen.
Damn, where'd that come from? whee. I'm tired & happy. Oh well. Oh, stolen from a british edition of MAXIM magazine, how to piss off the Italins:
Es buono, ma non è appena capanna Pizza Hut, sapete?
Hee hee. And, with inspiration from a good Israeli friend at work, wait for my Saint Patrick's Day layout. (don't worry, it'll only last a day)
Ta for now!
