Ragabash, Waliel, we're good for any anime meets at Jelouise's place Monday afternoon/evening. Still interested, ya'll gimme a call or blog and let me know.

I'm still having crazy thoughts of the This Is Spinel Tap idea. I really need to sit down and watch CCS, and get Tleilaxu replacement eyes if need be afterwards.

Hey, imouto1, I figure you might like this - brand new Nob Yuuki artbook for the Esca TV and Movie combined. Imouto2, Jelouise, go check it out too - only 3000Y, 25 bucks. Further perusing of HLJ...Ragabash, Meg, Amy, Angelic Layer Battle Book and Misaki & Hikaru figure. And, Ragabash, September Newtype's out now (with a bunch of others). I know your card's broke, but Stickboy's is fine and he orders a lot from this place.

Other fun HLJ books...All About Di Gi Charat, all about 64 pages. Nuff said. Bunch'a Ghibli books, way too many Gunda art/model books. I weep.

N&M, I wonder how THAT would have turned out. Hope you didn't get in trouble for it.

Give a man a fish, and feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

Oh lookie, another police standoff, this time the guy inside tried shooting at one of the news helos and put a round through the stabilizer. The news chopper landed safely. The occupant of the Michigan complex is Grover T. Crosslin, and police went out to his land because neighbors complained he was burning down a few buildings in his backyard. The place is called Rainbow Farm, and Crosslin was arrested in May for drug charges from annual Hemp Fests held on his property. He's out on bail, and was due in court for bond revocation hearings and civil forfeiture hearings for the property, believed to be a drug farm.

Interestingly, they neglect to mention a SINGLE THING that happened after cops got there -

Sheriff's deputies went to the Rainbow Farm Campground about noon Friday after neighbors called saying the owner, Grover T. Crosslin, 46, was burning buildings on the property in southwest Michigan.
So what happened in between?
Deputies evacuated six houses and watched from a distance as three buildings burned, said Underwood. There was gunfire coming from the campground, and the helicopter from South Bend, Indiana, television station WNDU was hit, Underwood said.
There's a little more info from WNDU, but still no word yet as to what happened when police showed up - did Crosslin shoot at them? I doubt it, if he did it'd have been all over the news. Why aren't the cops talking? And Crosslin, or someone within the complex, did shoot at the helo, there is a bullet hole through the stabilizer. It's more likely a .223, or a 6mm rifle round, because a .22 is anemic at best, even with the virtual beer-can aluminum skin of a helicopter.

And, uh, why is the ACLU suing over a "Minute Of Silence" in Virginia's schools? "Having suffered this clear violation of their First Amendment rights for over one year, Virginia's public school children should not be compelled to suffer another year or another day..." Suffer? Not just once but twice? That's the ACLU's own words in the filing to the Supreme Court. The Appeals Court found that since there was no religious meaning attached to the Moment Of Silence, and that the kids could do anything they wanted to (quietly) during the time, that it was not government promotion or establishment of any particular religion. So what's so spiritually painful about a few seconds of quiet? Except for maybe the hyperactive, chipmunk-on-crack metabolism people (you know who you are ^_~), I don't see any reason for anyone to have anything wrong with this Moment Of Silence thing. Pray to whichever god you believe, God, Allah, Buddah, the kami, Gaea, or just kick back for a few seconds if you don't believe. Remember where your homework is. What's wrong with a moment of peace and quiet?

This is getting long for a Sunday, so I'll just post it and be quiet for now.

More info on the raid and fire in the LA area is availible, they've found (what they think) is the body of the guy they were looking for. Kinda hard to ID offhand, since he has more in common with a butterfinger than a human right now. Underneath the body was supposedly an "assault rifle"* and a bulletproof vest. A police badge was also found on scene. The big Sudden Revelation is, hey, this guy's an ex-con! Interesting this wasn't mentioned before.

They've found at least four firearms in the building (wonder how many of them belonged to the entry team, I don't think that picking up a dropped gun when your fellow officer gets shot is high on your list of priorities), plus "scores" of magazines. And, they're championing the shot officer as a total hero of the community, what a nice guy he was, "He was probably one of the most personable people you'd ever meet in your life. I think Jake had hundreds, if not thousands, of friends." said the Sheriff's dept. Not common words you'd hear about the LAPD, no sirrah.

I don't know what happened, I will admit - I wasn't there. I don't know the cop who got killed, but that "thousands of friends" comment sounds like a serious truckload. Maybe he was a good guy, maybe not, I don't know, but the LAPD also has a history of unpleasant officers. And, as I recall, Bill Clinton's gun laws (which prevent you from buying a firearm if a computer breaks) were supposed to stop this right?

And just where the hell are they getting the "sniper" label from? Did this guy very skillfully use a scoped, high-powered rifle, firing from concealment at long range to take out a very high importance target? No. He was, for all intents and purposes, at best an ex-crook - and not at all deserving of the honorific of sniper. Snipers are trained professionals working in extreme conditions in the service of their country. But, hey, let's all call him a sniper and equate the word with a lousy cop-killer - because guns are Evil and people who use them are Bad.

Don't think that the media has no political bias for or against anything - and never for an instant believe they wont' feed it to you, subtley or blatantly. Think about what you read and hear, don't just take it at face value.

*Assault rifle refers to a very specific type of firearm, either by military or Federal government standards. California likes to apply this label to as many weapons as they can, because it makes them sound more Evil and easier to get rid of.

And, on the worldwide front, the so-called racism in the middle east (namely - Zionism) is making a lot of noise at the UN racism conference. When the summit ends in a few more days, a draft document condemning racism will be signed - and apparently it comes down hard on Israel claiming that they're racist against the Arabs. And seem to be the only ones mentioned as Bad People - no mention of, oh, say major events across Africa, and treatment of Israel (and other non-Arab cultures, remember the Kurds?) by the Arab states themselves, or the general opinions of most of Asia. An amusing side effect was Jesse Jackson ("Reverend Jacks-hhnnnn") getting stabbed in the back by the poor, trodden-upon Palestinians -

Despite an announcement Friday by U.S. civil rights activist the Rev. Jesse Jackson that the Palestinians had decided not to single out Israel as a racist state, Palestinian Authority President Yasser Arafat accused Israel of engaging in "racist practices" against the Palestinians.

Jackson said he had urged Arafat to drop his support for a summit declaration that would attack Israel as a racist state and equate Zionism with racism.

Palestinian officials later accused Jackson of being "overzealous" and said they would still seek condemnation of what they called Israel's "racist practices."

Losing your touch, Jesse. Figured you would have been protesting the Americans getting rid of the slavery-reparations portion of the agreement. Glad that's out of the document - it's only been a hundred and thirty eight years since slavery was abolished in the United States. Doubt many of the victims are still alive. But, what the hell, let's also take another famed racist group - and make the Brits pay reparations for invasions of France a few centuries back. Or make the Dutch pay the South Africans for slavery and all the fun down south. Or get Ethiopia to pay off Eritrea for Inhuman Treatment or whatever.

It's been a long damn time since then - give it up and let the distant past be the distant past. At least we recognized what we were doing and changed it, albeit slowly. And yes, I'll say the situation with Japan and Asia is quite different - the victims and immediate families are still alive, and the Japanese government refuses to admit its wrongdoing and tries to deny it. Let's see some resolutions against the Japanese, they have big pockets...seems all anyone cares about now is money anyways.

Tell me if this sounds at all familiar.

Police raid building, gunfire exchanged. They pull back with losses, launch tear gas for another raid, then fire totally consumes building.

One police officer killed, suspect believed dead in botched raid and fire in Santa Clarita, CA yesterday. ATF agents went in to arrest James Beck on charges of impersonating a police officer and "firearms violations", set up a containment with the police, and called for him to come out. During the negotiations, police entered through a window, and Beck allegedly shot at the police with "an automatic weapon". One cop was shot with (it is believed) one round in the head and died at a hospital.

After the botched raid, Beck supposedly fired on police, and is alleged to have fired on a Fire Department helicopter on the scene. Negotiators were on the phone with him, trying to talk him out, while tear gas canisters were introduced into the home by sheriff's deputies. And, shortly after the tear gas was delivered, the fire was noticed. Firefighters were held back 15 minutes after the fire began, ostensibly for their safety, and then simply wet down the other houses alongside. The house was let burn to the ground.

ATF was there with two agents to investigate suspected "firearms violations", and the US Marshals were around to look into allegations that Beck impersonated a deputy marshal.

All nice, neat, and tidy, though it does have bad, bad similarities to another famous botched-police-raid-and-fire. No word on whether the tear-gas canisters started THIS fire, but the timing stinks on the deployment and breakout.

Ya'll in Sioux City, IA, keep an eye out for Adam Matthew Moss, wanted for theft and questioning in the homicides of 7 people - including 5 kids age 5-12 - yesterday across town.

HLJ, quit processing and start shipping!

Fae-chan, what about the ceremony that they had a while back, where they saved an otter from the oil spill in Alaska - got it nursed back to health, got it cleaned up, and turned it back out to the ocean. After "it waved thanks to everyone" (no joke, that's what they were saying), it turned and started to swim out of the bay, and then someone spots a black fin - 10 seconds later, it's an Orca snack. I love it.

The Reg is right - this is just wrong. But, if you get the bush one to chase the cursor straight down, and speed it up a bit, he really looks like Monty Burns. Coincedence? And, a really nifty setup for the faces, to get a three-dimensional (if stretched at high speed) look.

Broadband via satellite - but it's expensive!

This is one way to improve safety - South Korea posts sex offender lists online. Considering there's a 90% plus recidivism rate, I'd like to know if there are any threats to my kids living nearby. Now, any possible backlash against the convicted is also illegal - vigilante groups and what not - but I would definitely watch my kids around those areas of town. It's a good thing it's up.

Peace talks between Peres and Arafat one step closer after the pullout of Israeli forces from Beit Jala. The Israelis want to try for peace talks well away from the cameras and the media, to avoid any possible statements from either side that simply make it worse. Not a bad sentiment, though I wonder if Arafat's going to whine and scream that the Israelis are trying to play a media coverup with their peace talks, and refuse to attend.

Umm...Maeda-san, Sadamoto-sama, Suzuki-san, put down the crack pipe. Oh no...CLAMP does a Gundam. NO JOKE. I run in terror now.

Bird, quite true about the varying circumstances laws. And I will say that there's all kinds of things that can happen, but at least provide translations FROM legalese - if I'm supposed to follow the law, at least explain to me what it is so I can understand it. I mean, some of them are easy - Don't park in a No Parking space or you will get ticketed. And, I think that common sense needs to be reintroduced into the country, and eliminate the intense absurdity of things like a 3 billion dollar judgement against a company that makes cigarettes, or any number of other product-liability laws. If this lawsuit madness keeps up, we start entering a place where everything is restricted to keep anyone from suing for anything.I'd be all for a Bonehead law - "What were you thinking when you spilled your drink on the tile restaurant floor and stepped in it, slipping and injuring your neck?" I could go for that.

NnM, no problem, hope you didn't get in trouble. Figured it was prolly your brother.

15 year old genius girl used as sex toy and plaything at university she was attending - and the parents are suing Alabama-Birmingham university for 40 million, because they promised to take special care of their daughter, and keep an eye on her and in a segregated area. Otherwise the parents would have refused to send her there. Well, for a while, she was, but after her first quarter was transferred to a new dorm - Blazer hall, home of many of the football and basketball players. Very quickly, she ended up being liquored up by the athletes and became known as the 15 year old girl that would have sex with the athletes. Drugs followed, and soon the girl (never identified) collapsed after a large intake of Crown Royal, and was treated for alcohol poisoning. Noone ever notified the parents, even with the medical condition. Over christmas break - in her first six months - she entered drug and alcohol rehab, and has never since gone back to school.

Now, I know that it's entirely possible that the girl decided she was going to live the high-life without mom and dad around, and brought all this on herself - but it's not too terribly likely. Consider - she was just 14, and wanted to go to college so she could get started on her career at a young age. She was damned smart - good enough to get into a UNIVERSITY when you or I are just getting into highschool. No, I don't think her mindset was get drunk every night and sleep with every jock in existence - and even if so, well....ya'll heard of statutory rape laws?

Kick out and/or jail every last so-called "athlete" who raped this kid, bust the ones who gave her the drugs for posession and distribution, and nail the admin staff who totally dropped the ball on their end and never bothered to let the parents know what hell their daughter was going through. YOU DO NOT RAPE KIDS IN MY COUNTRY. Especially ones with brilliant futures to look forward to, who don't have much else now rather than trying to survive day by day.

And those idiot jocks just go on and find some other women to go get their jollies with, what should they care? Not THEIR life flushed down the toilet - but it bloody well ought to be. Kick the university's tail, mom and dad, and make sure you get your pound of flesh. And, I hope those who would can put this poor girl in their prayers.

That's it, I'm goin to bed. Sweet dreams, moms and dads worldwide, hope you know where your children are.

URGENT - Heads up, boys and girls, new worm from Microsoft masquerades as SSL protocol patch - and it's apparently a real worm, from a well-forged source. Click the link, BE ADVISED.

An correction on the situation with the Egyptian military in the Sinai - apparently there IS a small section of the peninsula, namely the western shores, that Egypt can under the treaty use for military maneuvers. Mea culpa. However, their timing does stink and that puts a heavy, worked-up-to-speed combined arms force that much closer to Israel should hostilities break out.

IDF troops have pulled out of the Pallie-held Beit Jala after the cease-fire appears to be still in-effect. There is a large amount of troops should Arafat's people defy his orders - or if Arafat himself defies his promise. The PFLP is still getting antsy, though, but they are apparently being treated separately, possibly because they aren't directly affiliated with the Pallie government.

Hey look, the Israelis have a communist party, go figure. They sure don't like Hillary Clinton though - check out the title of the article. "Hillary Clinton is a Zionist Whore".

"We will not be surprised or shocked if the Senator, wife of the former American president ... changes her surname to Zion, Moishele, or Sharoni. Simultaneously with sexual prostitution and corruption, chronic political prostitution spreads in the US ruling circles. Since Hillary Clinton was elected congresswoman [sic] for the state of New York, she has been practicing a kind of political prostitution that is even worse than her husband's sexual debauchery."

"We are not surprised by the position of this political whore - a position that turns the facts upside down in order to win the love and support of the Zionist lobby in the US."

Just because she made a speech saying that Arafat should stop killing innocent people. What, they forgot her big kissy-kissy with Arafat's wife, just after she got onstage and was calling for (in Arabic) the extermination of the Israelis? Ya'll remember THAT little boondoggle? So, I'd say the Israeli Commies are half-right, but she's no zionist.

Oh well, let Carlos rant, his @$$ is rotting in prison permanently.

But here's the kicker - The seven different denominations of banknote will become legal tender on January 1, 2002....Two months later, on March 1, traditional currencies such as the franc, the mark, the lire and the peseta will cease to be legal tender and be abolished. Oh that's gonna go over well. I wonder how long some places will hold on to their old cash.

Just a spot of weird for the night, I'm tired and amused.

Crop circle at Arecibo radio telescope - is it a reply? In 1974, a message was sent (at a whopping 2 terawatts, two million megawatts of radio energy) that had a distinct pattern when broken down into the two prime numbers 23 and 73, reveals the pattern seen in And for pictures and a spaceman-origin analysis, it's shown on image three on the photos shown on Art Bell's page. It's pretty interesting, apparently the first message that went out listed carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen, and phosphorus - implied as the building blocks of life. Well, the message back has silicon added - which is required to bind calcium to cartilage, to create hard bone - for erect life. Assuming the rest of the crop "circle" reply is really a message from space, well...it would seem that Dark Helmet has evolved himself, check out the correlating here-is-what-I-look-like image.

Oh well, it's worth a laugh and a thought. G'nite all.

Looks like Arafat realized he pushed too far with the Gilo situation. A cease-fire has been in effect in the area for quite some time now after an order from Yassir Arafat to ban attacks from Gilo. Roadblocks have been set up by the Palestinian security forces to turn back any gunmen who enter into the city. The IDF hasn't yet moved out of the area, and other Pallie factions are screaming against a cease-fire.

No word on the Egyptians yet.

Seems the Palestinians are playing a scorched-earth game over there and dumping raw sewage into the drinking water rivers that flow from the Jordan into Israel. People in Jenin (a famous town over there, yes?), Tulkarm, and Nablus have been pouring raw sewage into streams that bring water for Israeli settlements in the Negev, Kakilya, and sewage from Beit Jala (woo, another well-known burg) is polluting the water towards Jerusalem. I dunno what the Israelis are up to, but the Pallies are most definitely interested in wiping them out en masse.

This Just In:

With more gunfire this morning in the Gilo area, Israel has sent tanks into Gaza and destroyed two Palestinian police stations, one of which hours later still had a pair of IDF tanks and an Israeli flag atop it. Further fighting in the northern Gaza as a Pallie mortar shell lands in an industrial area, no injuries but heavy damage to one factory. Two more at the southern end, without any effect.

Egyptian military forces have entered the Sinai Peninsula, claiming to be holding military maneuvers as part of a force exercize. Air forces, armor, infantry, and electronic warfare units have crossed to the western bank of the Suez canal. In accordance with the peace treaty signed by both Israel and Egypt, no military units can be in the Sinai or else the treaty is void. Egypt did threaten to send troops there if the Israelis called their bluff, and they have - so Egypt has sent in troops. Egypt claims their forces are operating under a yearly program of wargames, however due to this movement of combined-arms forces, there is no longer a state of peace between the nation of Israel and Egypt.

Well, the IDF is definitely staying in Beit Jala until they find any and all parties responsible for 11 months of gunfire into Jerusalem. Five buildings are currently being held by IDF troops with APC and armor support, and 14 other empty buildings destroyed. Pallie propagandist Yasser Abed Rabbo had this to say:
"The true goals of Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's government are to destroy all the signed agreements and escalate, on a daily basis, its policy of terror, assassinations, and reoccupation of parts of the Palestinian homeland," read a PA statement. "This murderous government has adopted a strategy by which it increases the dosage of terror on a daily basis in an effort to drive the international community to accept it and get used to it."
And the Pallies have the balls to say that the ISRAELIS have a policy of terrorism? What signed agreements - Arafat either refused to sign or broke them all as he signed them, the two-faced b@stard!

Now, I won't argue that the Israelis aren't escalating things - it's quite obvious, and they say so, that they are. Israel plans on further and more building takeovers should the Palestinians keep shooting at Israeli civilians, and also going after higher figures in the opposing government. Some interesting analysis.

Hot time in Tokyo, big gang fight last night in a Shimbashi train station. 4 wounded, a lot fled when 80 riot cops showed up, lobbed tear gas, and went in. No words on the number of arrests, but at least 15 cars were confiscated, so I'd think they bagged a good number.

I dunno if it's a Mac or not running Windows XP, but The Reg seems pretty convinced.

Sun's pissed at M$ for dumping the Java plan and is believed by M$ to be preparing an injunction to stop sales of WinXP. M$ claims this is the reason they pulled the Java Virtual Machine block. Sun did have a license to build it for windows, however it will not be completed by the October release date - and will not be in all copies of WinXP, if it's in any at all. Wonder if Sun is going to hook up with the Rebel Alliance in this one and side with AOL/HP/Compaq.

Wow, MS frontpage can edit files directly on the webserver you're on - but don't get caught doing it, even accidentally. Brian West says he was playing with FrontPage and accidentally found he had unchecked access into the local newspaper Poteau Daily News webserver. He did notify the paper about it and the sloppy server authentication, and they apparently called the FBI on him. According to the FBI affadavit, West's computer made 40 attempts to access the server and even *gasp* downloaded files. No sh*t Sherlock, what do you think happens when you view a website? And somehow he got a copy of the passwords in one of those downloads, which let him in. According to West, and from inferences made by LINUXFREAK, it appears that the webserver network was horribly configured and had rather foolish setups for both file structure and the authentication.

Either way - West a) did not screw around with the system, b) did not cause any damage to the servers or anything illegal past gaining access, and c) reported it to the company as "hey, ya'll got a bug in them thar servers". And he's now on trial for it. Beat on the black hats, you idiots, not the ones who tell you there's a problem.

AOL wins one, loses one in battle over 2 website domains - AOLfind.com and Nudescape.com. It should be obvious which one AOL got control of, though surprisingly WIPO did rule that nudescape.com is an okay name that AOL doesn't have control over. Considering their long string of rulings for AOL, it's nice to occasionally see objectivity.

Idiot psycho h4xx0r gets 10 years in the slammer for stalking federal agents (possibly with intent to kill) and living in a paranoid delusional world that the government was out to get him specifically, and that his lawyer was trying to kill him. And filing a RICO (Racketeer-Influenced/Corrupt Organization) suit against the judge, police, and his own lawyer didn't help much. But, the interesting part of the story is at the end - the last two paragraphs. Are these the words of the reporter, Mr. Greene, or is it satire of what the convict had to say?

Unfortunately, extravagant public spending on prisons needed to accommodate the war on Negroes drugs has made it necessary for America's penal institutions to serve as its default mental health infrastructure, the distinction between 'justice' and 'punishment' having long ago evaporated from the popular imagination.

And so once again an obviously sick man is to be 'treated' with the finest warehousing money can buy.

Sounds pretty personal to me, bub.

SE Asia's known for it's piracy - not for videos, CDs, bootlegs, or knockoffs, I mean good old fashioned grab a gunboat, storm a freighter, kill everyone aboard and steal the ship piracy. Now the Japanese are sending in boats and aircraft for antipiracy operations in the area. How bad is it? Well, in 1996 there were 228 reported incidents (of large vessels that would actually be noticed), in 2000 it was 471 - that's right, enough pirate attacks to happen once every day, twice on the weekends, and a couple more scattered around. No peglegs and swords, just AK-47s and Browning M2s on high speed boats, kill the crew, steal the boat or cargo and burn what's left. Extremely unpleasant stuff, and I know guys who have gone down there - and they all pack serious firepower on the trip. Personally, I'd say send a destroyer or three down there, and give the S'pore navy a couple older ships. That oughtta put a dent in things.

Saddam finally scores an american aircraft - and shoots down a predator drone plane. Predators are little unmanned recon vehicles, and are difficult to spot or shoot down. I wonder how they got this one... Either way, there's some disturbing comments - namely, Iraq is now claiming that the Predator came from Kuwait, and that the Iraqi air-defense has been heavily upgraded - by the dearly beloved Chinese. Ya'll thought they were our friends, yes?

Oh hell. Israeli troops continue holding parts of Beit Jala while more than 5000 Pallies demonstrated, calling for revenge in the assassination of the PFLP leader Mustafa Zabri. The Israelis are saying that they will remain in Beit Jala until the mission they are on is over, and will then leave. Still no word from the Egyptians yet. And, more shootings, more violence...not going to stop, and it never will.

Bird...I would think that the biggest problem with the legal system began when normal people became unable to read the laws and interpret them, and various interpretations could mean different things. Nowadays, it's to the point where (admittedly minor) infractions can lay unknown until some cop with a bad day can ticket or arrest you for it. Did you know you can be arrested for being rude to a police officer? It's in there. Simplify the justice system, and set it up so that a common man can understand it. Eliminate the confusion, the counteractive laws, and the stupid laws that are still there, and the Justice System (echo) will work well. And yes, part of the greatest problem with the system is the lawyers and the extraordinarily foolish concepts - like, for example, the case in New York where a Mercedes Benz was found in a notoriously rich part of Harlem, was investigated as a suspicious vehicle by the cops, and was determined to have 1.25 million in cocaine in the trunk. Operators were arrested for posession/intent to sell, and were gotten off because an attorney said the cops were using "racial profiling" and that his clients were innocent because of that.

The clients were guilty. It was well known. But the judge felt that the police made a politically incorrect traffic stop, and y'know what? They got off. Fix all the legal loopholes, streamline it, and hard time for hard crime. And USEFUL time as well - either picking up trash along the freeways/parks, building new freeways or whatnot, general labor things. Prison should be a place you NEVER want to go back to.

PERSONALITY
    ACCOUNTANT
    (Submissive Introvert Concrete Thinker )

Like just 7% of the population you are an ACCOUNTANT (SICT)--reserved, meticulous, and dependable. While being called an accountant isn't really that cool, neither are you. You aren't exactly the life of the party, but you do have fun, and the people close to you really do love you.

Seriously: accountants are good at whatever they do. They can always be trusted, especially by their friends. They almost never cheat or steal. (Some real-life accountants do, however, they are probably Judges (DICT)). You probably have a wonderful relationship with your family.

Nothing terribly or frighteningly amusing this time (Except...Yukito). I think I'm staying away from the sparkly shoujo series though.

A pair of Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) terrorists broke into an Israeli military base several nights ago, and wreaked some major havoc for 4 hours, before the last one was killed. Israel has a policy of not dealing with terrorists, just exterminating the vermin, and also has a policy of not assassinating random people, but going for the leaders. Well, they did. PFLP head Abu Ali Mustafa killed in Israeli military assault on his home and headquarters. The last 8 car bombs in Israel are suspected to be from him, and that bombings are his specialty. Scratch one more for the good guys. Otherwise, things are still relatively quiet over there - no response from Egypt yet to yesterday's attacks, the bluff appears to be called.

Ragabash, cards are on my keyboard at work, rather than in the drawer.

And, in computer news, Carbon nanotubes 100,000 times smaller than a human hair developed for computer chip processors by IBM, in its second breakthrough of the year regarding the molecular machines. Earlier, they got the transistor-nanotubes to just plain work, this time around they have actually completed logic circuits with them. Next few years, IBM will be working on ways to build actual computer chips and will find out what kind of sizes will be required. Unfortunately, it will be another 10-15 years before things hit the market, but come 2015...

Fae, got that fighter redone to something more fitting, and also have a floating-castle design, big castle on top of a big rock with a giant ram in front. Need to discuss weapons and such with you tonight.
